There was a time in recent
history known as the Vietnam era.
While a lot of my brethren were taking up arms, I spent two years working in a soup kitchen
on Skid Row in Los Angeles. I also worked on their newspaper, the Catholic Agitator.
These were among the illustrations
published in the Agitator from 1972 through 1974.
They reflect some of the
suffering we witnessed every day.
The people I worked with at
the "Hippie Kitchen" are is still ministering to God's poor.
